The Cathedral Choir sings at the 11am Mass each Sunday as well as other major liturgies throughout the year.  This adult choir numbers 15 at present but is open to welcome any new members, sopranos, altos, tenors and basses.  Ideally singers should have some experience of singing in a choir, rudimental ability to read musical notation, and be willing to attend the weekly rehearsal on Thursday evenings.  We are a very friendly team who have a love of singing. Here are a few comments from members.

‘ I love being part of this choir because it feels like family.  Everyone is so friendly and you can truly enjoy singing the hymns and learning something new every time.’

‘Joining the Choir has been a true honour and blessing for me’.

‘Learning to read the scores and getting greater knowledge of composition has given me a better insight into writing music, and the vocal work we practice has opened up my vocal range and skills’.

‘Being part of the choir makes me feel a part of a wonderful community of people whose friendship I truly appreciate’.
