Offertory Giving

Some parishioners give through standing orders, which is important and very gratefully received but, if you usually contribute to the cathedral parish via the offertory collection, would you please consider setting up a standing order instead. (Should you have already completed a Gift Aid declaration for giving via offertory envelopes, it is not necessary to complete a further one).

The following options are available:

  • Online Donation or Standing Order through the diocese

You can set-up a regular standing order, or make a one-off donation online through the diocese Virgin Money Giving facility (link below) who accept all major debit and credit cards. If you use this option, we ask that you indicate ‘for Northampton Cathedral’ in the ‘Leave a Message’ box for one-off donations, and for a regular standing order we will contact you to check which parish or your standing order is for. There is a facility to Gift Aid applicable donations to your parish, but any donations to individual priests are not eligible for Gift Aid. Please therefore do not complete the Gift Aid option for any donation to a priest.

  • Online Donation or Standing Order via Donor’s Own Bank

You can make an online donation or set up a standing order for regular giving to the cathedral parish via your own online bank account. The cathedral bank information required is as follows:

Bank: NatWest
Sort Code: 60-06-11
Account No: 59811927
Account Name: RCDN Cathedral of Our Lady
Payment Ref: Northampton Cathedral

  • Or give is a call to donate over the phone

We have received many enquiries from parishioners looking to find out if they can call the diocese finance team to make a donation over the phone so as to continue to give to their local parish.

To simplify the process, we have now introduced ‘Giving Tuesday’. Each ‘Tuesday’ between 10.00am and 4.00pm, a member of our team will be available by phone for you to donate to your parish community over the telephone. To donate simply call 01604 712065 with your debit or credit card details.

Thank you for your generosity at this very difficult time.
